The 50 Best PSP Games: From Classics To Hidden Gems
Table of Contents
With the PlayStation Vita’s recent and sudden rise in popularity, many who may have never owned a PSP are now considering buying one. While the Vita provides a plethora of amazing games, there’s nothing wrong with having a console that has been out for a while and is now priced to reflect that.
That’s where the PSP comes in. If you’re looking for a console that has a wide selection of games from the past few years, along with a bunch of hidden gems, the PSP is a great choice.
The PlayStation Portable (PSP) is one of the best gadgets to ever come out of Sony. This device was a great alternative to the Nintendo DS, and it had a ton of good games. We’ve compiled a list of the 50 best PSP games, from classics to hidden gems, including new releases and some of the system’s best RPGs, JRPGs, and action games, as well as some of the best horror games and best puzzle games.
What is PSP ?
PSP stands for PlayStation Portable. The device was Sony’s last handheld game system but only lasted for about a year and a half, first releasing in November 2006 in Japan, and in early 2007 in the U.S. and Europe. First up, the PSP boasted some impressive specs. This was the same system that would release in Japan in November of 2006 and would be released for the North American, European, and Asian markets in early 2007, following some delays.
At first glance, you’d never know that this little thing was packing so much power, since most of the PS1 titles for the system that it supported were extremely simple, mostly because PSP was for hardcore gamers, not children.
The 50 Best PSP Games
When it comes to PlayStation Portable (PSP) games, the options are varied. For one, there are all the Final Fantasy games released for the PSP. Except for and Type-0 HD (which is not available as of this writing), PSP Final Fantasy games are available on the PlayStation Store.
But that’s not to say the PSP is only for Final Fantasy. There are plenty of other gems to check out.
